Letter to Taylor

Dear Taylor,

Hey Tay, it's Belly! How have you been? I have had the craziest summer so far and it's only been 3 days. After we called the night I got to Cousins Beach I went to the bonfire (like you told me to). When I got there I was devastated. I saw Conrad kissing another girl. I know we aren't dating ( and he doesn't even like me), but it hurts seeing the guy you have liked for years kissing another girl. I decided that I should just walk away from where they were. Not even 5 seconds later Steven and this girl he was with saw me. I tired to hide my face but it was to late. He was yelling so loud that everyone at the bonfire was looking. Worst of all Conrad was looking over to all the commotion. Then I had one of the worst ideas ever. I decided to try and shove Steven to the ground...it backfired real quick. Steven gave me a little shove and I was on the ground. Thank goodness Jeremiah was there because he helped me clean myself up and got me something to drink. I was so embarrassed that I just walked away after Jeremiah came back with my drink. You will never guess what happened next! This guy names Cam (Cameron) came over and sat next to me. At first I was confused because I was pretty far away from everyone else at the bonfire, but I decided to push it away because I don't like to be alone. After we started talking more we realized that we went to space camp together in 7th grade. I guess I didn't realize it but I started shivering really bad so Cam gave me his jacket!!! I was so shocked that it took me a couple seconds to say thank you. Soon after the police came and we all ran. It was so chaotic. Everyone was going in different directions and running into each other. Once I found Jeremiah's car and I got in it we realized that Steven was missing, so Jeremiah stopped the car and went to go look for him. That meant that Conrad were in the same car by ourselves. I have never seen Conrad so drunk (actually I have never seen him drink before). The whole time we were sitting there he kept staring at me, but I just acted like I didn't notice. Eventually he started to play with my hair he said and i quote, "your hair is like a child's", what am I supposed to say to that. Before I could even get the chance to say anything a cop knocked on our car window. The next thing you know we are pulling up to the beach house in a cop car. i was really hoping that Susannah was the one that was going to open the door, but sadly it was my mother. She made us all stand in the entry way and gave us a lecture about how we aren't responsible and how the Fishers are lucky because if we weren't with them and they didn't have that last name things would have went down differently. That night was one of the best and worst nights of my life!

p.s. I have a date with Cam tomorrow morning!!!
