“Get to Know Our New CEO.” LLS, www.lls.org/. Accessed 13 May 2023. I chose this genre because the sand volleyball tournament is a very important part of the book. During the tournament you see how Belly reacts and acts around Jeremiah, Conrad, and Taylor. Belly has 3 partners throughout the tournament. Her first partner was Taylor ( her best friend). Taylor and Belly play Volleyball at their High School back at home. In the middle of their second game Taylor acts like she is hurt so Jeremiah takes her place. Taylor does this on purpose because Belly has feelings for Jeremiah and Jeremiah has feelings for Belly. Jeremiah doesn't take the tournament as seriously as Belly does, so Belly asks Conrad to take Jeremiah's place. Conrad and Belly automatically click when they play together. I chose the organization Leukemia and Lymphoma because both of those run in my family. I feel like this organization doesn't get talked about enough. Therefore, I added it to my footnote so attention could be brought to it.
